Duco Jet Black is an opaque white finish for metal and wood. Duco has excellent wear resistance owing to it high solid content. Duco regent white is a good finish for metal grills, gates and fabrications and wooden furniture that are made of plywood or MDF.

Method of Application
On Wood
- For hard wood, sand the surface of the wood with aloxite sandpaper grits 80, 120, 180 progressively along the grain to get a smooth paintable surface.
- For plywood/MDF surfaces, sand the surface with 180/220 grit aloxite sandpaper.
- Ensure the surface to be finished is free of dust, grease, saw dust and loose particles. Also ensure there is no activity like sawing, grinding or any other activity that produces dust occuring in the environment where the job is to be undertaken.
- Fill large dents and crevices using a polyester body filler.
- Spray Duco primer surfacer diluted with Duco Thinner in the ratio 1:0.75 on to the surface. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours.
- Using NC putty, level any imperfections. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours. Sand using water emery grits 220 and 320.
- Spray a second coat of Duco primer surfacer. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours.
- Dilute Duco Jet Black : Duco Thinner in the ratio 1:2 and spray. Allow to dry.
- Spray a second coat and allow to dry.
On Metal
- Degrease bare metal and remove any rust.
- For bare metal, first prime the surface using Duco Oil Primer redoxide or any epoxy primer.
- Ensure there is no activity like sawing, grinding or any other activity that produces dust occuring in the environment where the job is to be undertaken.
- Fill large dents and crevices using a polyester body filler.
- Spray Duco primer surfacer diluted with Duco Thinner in the ratio 1:0.75 on to the surface. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours.
- Using NC putty, level any imperfections. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours. Sand using water emery grits 220 and 320.
