Application Procedure
Surface Preparation
- For Metal : Ensure that the surface is dry, clean and free from impurities like oil, grease, loose rust and cracked or flaked paint. Sand the surface with #180 sand paper and ensure no loose particles are present before priming. Wipe the surface Clean.
- For Wood : The raw wooden surface to be coated should be clean, dry, free from moisture, dampness and other contamination. Sand the surface using #80 sand paper, followed by grit sizes #120, #150, #180 and #220 sand paper. This step wise approach leads to a very smooth surface. Always sand in the direction of the grain. This step wise process is applicable for hard wood. Start with #220 sand paper for veneer or plywood.
