Apex Floor Guard Colour 1L

Asian Paints Apex Floor Guard is a water based, anti-skid, floor coating for cement plastered floors, concrete floors, cement pavers, clay tiles and other cementitious and porous substrates. Apex Floor Guard is an crosslinking acrylic polymer based floor coating that has a rich sheen finish. The coating is durable and is good for medium foot traffic areas and areas inside homes where footwear is not worn. Apex Floor Guard is available in a range shades.

Specifications

• Drying time: Surface dry time 30 min
• Sheen levels: Up to 25 at 60° G - Rich Sheen Finish
• Dilution : 10% by water
• Coverage : 30 - 50 Sqft/ltr/Coat - Depending on surface porosity and joints in pavers.

Application Procedure

• Clean the surface of dust, oil, fungal & algal formation and loose debris using a high pressure washer or with water and a wire brush.
• Dry the area for at least 4-6 hours depending on the weather conditions. Ensure surface is not saturated with water and surface water saturation should be less than 10%.
• Dilute Apex Floor Guard with 10% water and apply the first coat with a brush maintaining a single direction of stroke.
• Allow to dry for 4-6 hours.
• Dilute Apex Floor Guard with 10% water and apply the second coat with a brush maintaining a single direction of stroke, perpendicular to the first coat.
• Allow to dry for 24 hours before the floor is open to foot traffic.

Important

• Surface Preparation

  Ensure that the surface to be painted is free from any damp, loose paint, dust, wax or grease and other contaminants. Remove all contaminants such as dirt, grease, oil, dust etc. with soap powder solution using a scrubbing brush. Apply TruCare Bioblock on algae or fungus affected area after cleaning. Dry for minimum of 4 - 6 hours before painting. Moisture content in the surface should be less than 10%.

• For Fresh Surfaces (unpainted)

  For freshly made concrete surface, allow it to cure for at least 4 weeks before painting.

• For Repainting

  Check random areas for adhesion of existing paint film. If problems are observed, total removal of old paint is required. Sand smooth and glossy surfaces to improve adhesion.

• Post Painting Care

  Allow atleast 24 hours of curing before foot traffic begins and regular traffic can begin only after 72 hours of curing. For the best performance, ensure proper washing and cleaning of the painted surface at regular intervals. Do not wash the surface with wire brush.

• Surface Preparation

  During Surface preparation, any previous growth of fungus, algae or moss need to be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and apply TruCare Bioblock on algae or fungus affected area after cleaning
• Do not apply the paint under conditions of frost, dew, rain, fog or adverse weather (below 10°C or above 45°C surface temperature).
• Flaky, Powdery substrate should not be paints directly.
• Do not apply on Bituminous/Asphalt substrate.
