MRF Etch Primer is a self-etching primer that can be used on Galvanised Steel, GI Sheets, GI Decking Sheets and Aluminium Surfaces. The primer etches the metal surface using an acid and then primes the surface for paint. This primer can be overcoated by most paints and primers, including epoxy, PU and enamels.

Application Procedure
- Pre-prepare surface by sanding and removing dust and grease.
- Mix hardner and base in supplied ratio. Spray 2 light coats of Etch Primer in perpendicular directions.
- Allow for cure of 6-8 hours.
- Apply 1 coat of MRF Epoxy Primer Grey/White. After the Epoxy primer cures, proceed for further process.
Technical Guidelines
- Mixing Ratio: Base : hardner - 1 : 1 - supplied in pre-measured packs.
- Recommended Thinner : MRF Thinner for Finish - 10% by volume
- Pot Life : 45 minutes
- Top coats : Epoxy, PU(Polyurethane), NC(Nitrocellulose), Alkyd, Enamels
