MRF Penetration Primer is a transparent liquid applied primer that is useful to bond a range of solvent based paints such as Enamels, Alkyd, PU, Acrylic and Epoxy Coatings to cement surfaces. The primer does not require any dilution and is supplied in a ready to apply state.

Typical Application with MRF Zameen
- The surface to be coated should be clean, dry, free from moisture, dampness, microbial growth, oil, grease, dirt and other contaminations.
- Clean thoroughly using a wire brush and then scuff the surface using Sandpaper No. 80. Ensure that no loose particles are sticking to the surface to be coated.
- Apply one coat of Penetration Primer at a DFT off 5 to 10 microns. After 6 hours and within 72 hours, apply the first coat of Zameen 2K PU Floor Paint shade. Sanding the coat of Penetration Primer should be avoided.
- After 10 - 12 hours, mildly sand the first coat of Zameen 2K PU Floor Paint shade with Sandpaper No. 600 and apply the second coat of Zameen 2K PU Floor Paint shade. Sanding dust must be wiped off before the application of the second coat.
- After completion, allow curing for a minimum period of 72 hours @ 30 °C before usage.
The above application procedure can be followed for coatings other than MRF Zameen as well.
Precautions
- Topcoat application is recommended after 6 hours and within 72 hours of the application of the primer.
- The surfaces to be coated must be prepared such that they are free of dust, dirt, organic growth, oil, grease, dampness and any foreign matter.
- The primer must not be sanded.
