MRF Aquafresh wall primer is a Water Bourne Single Pack PU based primer for Interior and Exteior Masonry and cement plastered surfaces. It acts as an excellent base coat for all water-based paints and emulsions; especially used as a basecoat for MRF Aquafresh Interior & Exterior Paints. Application of Aquafresh requires applcation of Aquafresh Primer as the base coat on masonry surfaces.

Application
Surface Prepration
- Ensure that the surface to be painted is clean and free from dust, dirt and other contaminations.
- For areas severely affected by algae and fungi, ensure that the surface is completely cleaned using a biowash before initiating the painting process.
- Freshly plastered sufraces must be allowed to cure completely. The coating process can be started after a minimum period of 30 days.
Application Procedure
- For fresh surfaces apply 1 coat of Aquafresh Primer and allow to dry for 4-5 hours.
- For already painted surfaces, check the soundness of the paint film. Scrape off any loose paint. If the film seems fairly stable, Aquafresh can be applied directly onto it.
- For badly damaged paint films it is recommended to vigourously wire brush the paint and clean and then apply a coat of Aquafresh Primer.
- After satisfactory examination and filling of dents and cracks using a suitable crack filler, application of topcoat paints can be commenced.
- Apply 2-3 coats of topcoats with an interval of 4-5 hours between coats.
